Ochre House

A Wash Park bungalow for a couple who wanted color and were afraid of it. We started with one wall in ochre and let the rest of the house answer. Oiled walnut, a rust velvet sofa, olive trees in the bay window. Every surface catches the afternoon. They have stopped closing the curtains.
