Highland Residence

A 1920s brick house in the Highlands with good bones and no light in the kitchen. We opened the back wall to the garden, moved the cooking to the window and gave the morning its own room. Sand plaster, a long oak table, a fig tree that gets the first sun. The family eats breakfast there now. Nothing in the house is precious. Everything in it is used.
